It's amazing isn't it? Just when you think there can't possibly be many more old pictures of Wigan, Andrew comes up with this collection. Wonderful!

Great shot of Pottery changeline bridge. This type of bridge was designed to allow a horse that was towing a barge to change from one side of the canal to the other without unhitching its towrope. I don't know of any others in the Wigan area.
