Not much knowledgeable in relation to car models, but is that a Ford Zephyr?.
The Junior section of St Catharine's school hadn't yet been built onto the Infants section as only that and the school hall can be seen, trying to place the block and thinking it could be part of Higham Court, I don't know why folks hated these houses as there is still a block of them at Marylebone, and folks loved them so much they bought them from the council.
The one going up Scholefield Lane is a Ford Cortina mk2 and the other a Ford Corsair, Albert.
Is that someone on a pogo stick in the doorway?
Maybe Cyril, the location. Maryleborn.
Car in the foreground is a Ford Corsair. The one in the background possibly a Hillman Hunter
Poet: I can just make out a set of ladders he's standing on, however I like to think how funny it would be if he's an electrician on your pogo stick, nearly there with this wire four more jumps should get it.
These upside down houses looked so out of place with the surroundings as did the maisonettes. Proof was in the demolishing of them.
Lived in Church Court from 71 - 76. It was a strange experience following the old houses of Greenough Street. Remember the taps being plastic and, a balcony on my bedroom! Loved it though!
Was a good idea at first with some genuine good people in them. Then it turned into a rat run for the the thieves, smack heads and wannabe gangsters who made life hell for the rest of the area. The buildings went but the scum remained.
I agree with you Joseph about the kind of people who lived in them- salt of the earth. I still think the buildings looked out of place - looking at the photograph I'm reminded of holiday flats abroad.
