She looks like a beautiful lady, she has a very gentle expression.
..My mother's step father's name was Livesey, he was married to my maternal grandmother after the Great War, my grandfather was killed in action near Ypres. He was a miner, a lovely man. My mother always said that he couldn't have been kinder to her if he had been her birth father.
Ellen, thanks for the comment. This photograph hung on the wall in my aunts parlour and when I was just a small boy I would stand and admire this lady, I thought she was simply beautiful. Aunty died in 1978 but I was told she had instructed everyone to give me this photo for safe keeping. My dad was only three years old when his mother passed away and was then brought up by his elder sister Lizzy, she was only eight years herself then.
Walt..that's good old honest beauty..no Botox,no lip fillers, no tattooed eyebrows...just honest beauty.
