Do you remember the School Speech Day ?
This was the cast of "Shivering Shocks" by Clemence Dane. Producer Mr. Holland with Mr.Pigot & Mr.Ward helping.
I'm the one in the dressing gown. Can anyone name the others.?
The following afternoon we gave a performance to the Girls School in the hall with the understudies taking part. I have had this photograph in my album for years.

Nice to know that some "classmates" are still around from 1959.
How about the 4A gang (both sexes) 1959/60. "Musical evenings" on a Saturday in some ones house, harmless fun in those days not like today's gangs.

Can anyone please tell me the story line of Shivering Shocks? I took part in this play in about 1968 but alas cannot remember what it was about.
Many thanks

John, the play "Shivering Shocks" or "The Hiding Place" was set in a small, comfortable-looking cottage sitting room belonging to Captain Robert Dallas V.C. He was a cripple confined to a wheelchair and had received his VC for bravery during the war. The plot concerned an inventor, Granville Hughes, who was trying to pass the formula of an explosive to authorities at Scotland Yard. 2 crooks had other ideas by trying to force Dallas to tell where the formula was hidden. They were caught by Inspector James Pollock.
I have a copy of the school magazine "The Torch" dated Easter 1960 that has a good write up of The School Play by David Gaskell(4A) I scanned it to copy onto here but it wouldn't accept it. Hence the brief description. 65 years, nearly, has passed since being in the play so it was pleasant to recap the story line. The most memorable line I recall was shouting to my servant "Kysh Kysh where are you"
