It is many years ago, since I was in this church. I was attending the funeral of my very good friend, Ronnie Williams, may he rest in peace. In his latter working life, he worked at Turner Bros., Hindley Green.

St. Peter's has been celebrating it's 150th Anniversary this year and had some marriage registers and other memorabilia to view inside the church.

Alan/V.B. I have no idea what department Ronnie worked in. I went to live in Kent in 1964. I do know he had a daughter that lived in Australia, and I believe in the late seventies, or early eighties, he went to have a holiday with her there. When he first got married, in the mid., to late fifties, he lived in the location, about half a mile, towards Hindley, from the railway bridge, after passing Ince Park. It was just one row of houses.
