If that's Cliff Lancaster from the Wigan crane crew with the shovel, you're okay.
I dont think its cliff (Danny) Lancaster its to tall for him.
The chap on the left with the X on his back was Harry Smith from Woolston. Born around 1900, he trained at Chatham and served in the Royal Navy at the latter end of the First World War. The chap on the extreme right, again with a X on his back was Harry's next door neighbour, Ken Helsby. He died around about 1976 at the age of about 60. I have no information about any of the others. I'm just amazed they've seen fit to put it on here considering the previous debacle, but my thanks to the moderators for helping to preserve a piece of history.
Has a look of him Rev but seems a bit too tall
The big fellow marked with the x is my wife's grandfather the smaller chap also marked was his next-door neighbour.
any idea iof the year
