Eddie The man that did the best job on this bus was my
lifelong mate every body else were blowing their own trumpets so lets get it right it was G Morris at GLG
coach trimmers Hindley he is from the old school he served
his time at Northern Counties Wigan From 1958 their is
no one any better than him so now you know D.C
Thanks for that Derrick. I knew there were a number of people involved in the restoration but the only member of the team that I knew personally was Harold. A lot of the work was done on my mate's land in Ashton. I remember the vehicle being under canvas for what seemed to be a very long time.
Derick when restoration work takes place, there's always more than one man involved. Each has their own bit to do!
Just to mention a little more. I'm a retired electrician so the wiring on a bus must be complicated enough. The body work and paint job massive. The mechanics hard work and heavy, spring leaves, prop-shaft and rear axle. The upholster man, all very important in their own skills, thats how a good team in any restoration project works. East Lancashire Railway in a prime example. Its a team effort always.
Back on top Gaz, and nice words. Got the bit ov a poet about ya.
