I would have said D8 Kenneth, but I'm no expert on plant. Perhaps Garry could help us out ?
I am not sure which model this machine is either but if I were pushed I would probably plump for a D8 given the age of the photo. The other feature, which I found interesting is the squarish reinforcing plate that is welded in the middle of the blade, which indicates to me that this dozer is used as a pusher for motor scrapers; one of which is parked up alongside to the left and I think is probably a Cat 631.

It's a d9g belonging to dougal mcgregor the steel plate in the middle of the blade is for pushing the scrapers with i drove one of the scrapers there for 3 years
