This little baby looks as if it has been abandoned!
It looks like a doll to me Vb..someone will put us right.
What a great pram. What more could a child need?

Dennis just read it was Bolney Street, I can never remember was Bolney Street the 1st or 2nd Street Going down from Kirkless Street.
That 'babby'or dolly as the case may be is going to get a 'bob-cap'for Christmas!

Should be able to make a quick trolley working around the pram itself JJP. Might have to leave the baby at somebodys mums but !
the company I worked for bought all the old gas lamp tops and my job was to clean the green paint of as they where made of copper then they where shipped off to America the company made a killing but still whent bankrupt the company was Naylor bros brass foundery of wigan and had a subsidiary firm at the side of the canal in higher ince that did diesel injectors welding the photo of the lamp post brought back all those monotonous hours on the buffer and the green paint chipping off into my eyes because I couldn't see with the goggles on
Holy Family School would be on left just out of picture
cale lane at bottom of street allen brothers builders yard in distance
Thanks for posting Dennis, I haven't seen this street before and it's where my Uncle (Albert Parkinson) was born in 1932.
A question. If you turned right as you met Cale Lane and walked towards the main road there was a corner shop on the left hand side. Was it called Mountney s?
Yes Philip George Mountneys
Thank you Jack. I can remember a man who worked in there and this could have been George. I could be remembering incorrectly but what sticks in my mind is a brown overall coat that he wore
