What was built on the land at the side of the casino.

Makinson's that sold fireplaces was there and further down was Elim Pentecostal church, there was also a Methodist chapel a little further down too, Makinson's also used the old station as a showroom too, the buildings were demolished as the council was planning on extending the Civic Centre, though it never happened.

It's criminal the way the council have trashed our town.
i think the first Morrisons wigan was built on the car park, it was like a temporary building made from tin if i am not mistaken.
