Very identifiable with Wigan. On a par with the Eiffel Tower, Chrysler Building and Nelsons Column. If Martians landed there would be no doubt where they were!! LOL

lovely landmark,at the bottom of clock tower a section is cordoned off as rooks are now nesting on the ridge and large twigs and branches are falling down on market sq.

Anyone ever been inside the thing and ascended to the top though? I'd love to know what's up there. I've heard all sorts of rumours ranging from a small screening room to an information desk.
