A ticket to watch Mr Blackpool, aka Reg Dixon, at the Queens Hall 1976. A time before Wigan Council demolished a superb concert venue to build the bus station.

Who could forget Reg appearing like magic at the Tower Ballroom seated at the organ. I had many a jive and bop on the iconic dance floor!!

There were some fantastic concerts at Queens Hall, I remember the Grenadier Guards in particular and the organ was wonderful.

I have quite a big collection of concert programmes held at the Queens Hall, Ritz and Hippodrome, from the 1940's and 50's. It's amazing to see the names of the famous people and orchestras who appeared in these concerts.

Dad used to take us in the 1970s to the Grenadier Guards concerts in the Queens Hall. They once blew windows out setting off fireworks in barrels for the 1812 overture. Fond memories.
