Wigan Album

Have just watched your slide show, and memories came flooding back. I left Wigan in 1972, but was a teenager there in the 1960s. I felt particularly sad when I saw the picture of The Grand Hotel. What a great building it was. A group of friends I had would meet there regularly. On a recent visit to Wigan, I walked past and couldn't believe what it now looks like.So dilapidated!! Anyway, thanks for the memories!

Thanks LEP1950. Of all the pubs in Wigan the Grand was our favourite It's tragic the way it has gone. As they say "If I win the lottery...."

Woa what can i say,,,its brilliant ,,,tHankss,,,and s an added bonus,,Irene just have watched on youtube and I just happen to let a couple of the rock an roll videos run,,,the Chorley and the Southport one,,,feet are still tapping from those,,,,will watch more at a later date,,,,,,

Ref the Wigan Slideshow,,,Ive still got the Beatles program from the Ritz was sat on the 4th row frm the front and I was at the Emp when the Rolling Stones did that show ,,along with Beat Boys,,,,,tahnks again Paul

ps did see tHe Stones on the on their tour .I as a Stones fan in yhose days,,still am,,but got to say I think Cahrlie and Inez Fox just about had the edge on tyhem that night,,
