A lovely photo. Hair-ribbons much in evidence as in my schooldays in the 1950s and 60s.

i don't think that's me as I was only born in 1950.
The teacher's name is Miss Vesey- I remember learning to knit and sew in her class. She didn't let you off with shoddy work ie big stitches in a hem!! I remember her undoing a hem on a tray cloth and making me do it again and again until I got it right. Good for her - you learned a valuable lesson " if a thing is worth doing.....Bla bla" Its a pity pupils dont learn crafts anymore at school - most young ones can't sew a button on ...sooner throw things away!
