Directly in front on the corner was the "woodwork" classroom, next on the left was the "metalwork" classroom and far left was the arts room. Great school, great times!

Just in front of woodwork room was rose tree and apple tree and Mr seddon bee hives
I simply don't remember any bee hives, I guess age has that effect!
Well syd you are not on your own I don't recall any bee hives,what I remember fondly was buying my mother chrysanthemums of Mr.Gaskell he was a reet rum bugger im still in dark about who you are?
Hi Alan, My name is Syd Bell. I'm probably in the same boat that you are in, I know your name but unfortunately can't put a face to the name. I attended Highfield from 1960 to 1964 and remember the time at Highfield with a great deal of fondness. You were never going to get the best academic credentials at Highfield, but it was one hell of a good school and I am glad I attended there.
