Please excuse the foreground! I thought this was a strange 'double-header' heading out towards the north, Royal Scot 46100 and another train, of which I do not know what type it is.

Philip: Do you mean 1959? Steam ended in August 1968.

jarvo the front locohis a fowler 2p class 4.4.0,probably a grewe loco attached their for the climb north.the train would be a very heavy one for the assisting engine to be needed.
