How excited we used to be, just setting out on the Walking Day! So many happy memories.

What amazes me is that these girls, aged 12-14?, are quite happy to dress as they are dressed and walk each year for their local church and community. Fast forward 45 years and girls that age would never do anything like that!!! How times have changed. Then again even if they did, the police would not allow roads to be closed and I am sure a jobsworth would start papping on about safety!! Where did it go wrong?

No I get it. This is taken from the Juniors playground looking towards the junior school on the left and infants school on the right.

I think that's me at the back on the right, that dress looks familiar
