I can confirm Johnny Gee was an English lecturer at Wigan Tech, in the 1970s - top bloke.

I presume that John Heaton was the JH that later on became a very good player at Orrell.

My wife's name was Sheila Barnett she has a brother Malcolm and her dad's name was Charlie Barnett. I worked with Bill Barton at Plessey Wallgate in the 1960's, 70's.

Ron,Shelia & Malcom are my cousins on my Mams side Charlie Barnett is my Mams brother. talking to Shelia & Malc at our Johns Funeral not seen them both for years. Aunty Lizzie & Aunty Mary also Charlie's sisters.Seen Photos of our Shelia on Walking Day page. When I was little remember Uncle Charlie telling me he was at Dunckirk when the first shot was fired and he was back in Wigan before the second shot was fired .I was about 15 when Aunty Annie told me different. Sadly Kevin Ashton, whose son Chris played for Wigan Warriors and now plays for Saracens and England RU, is also no longer with us. Great bloke with a wicked sense of humour.
