I know it's nowt to do with Wigan So why is it on here? I thought it was Wigan related photos only?

Harry, Alexanders was a large Scottish based bus/coach operator.

It might well be the 1950 Leyland Tiger CWG 206 with an Alexander body which is at the Manchester Transport Museum - and seems to be photographed regularly in this region. Quite why a bus from a Scottish operator should be in a museum dedicated to local transport, I don't know.

Alexander did operate buses in Scotland, but also built bodies for various chassis and supplied them far and wide. Here is a photo of an Alexander body in Wigan in 1976.
