Thanks Jim for your comments and for naming faces. The young lad central in the picture (next to the man with glasses) is my brother Ernie he still works there.
Morning Carol...i thought i was Ernie but dont remember his curly perm,,,yes he works in dev shop,,,i was talking to him acouple of weeks back,,the head peeping over white coat belongs to Jimmy Duddy who worked on maintainace and man behind chap with beard is Brian Sheridan,,,
The memory i have Jim is the day of my dads funeral when we arrived at Ince Parish Church and seeing the men from Gullicks in their overalls outside the church; still brings a lump to my throat that they had remembered him five years after he had retired.
Great Photo Carol, brings back fond memories of my time working at Gullicks.
The gentleman with the glasses is Jimmy Heyes, my lovely grandad, not Sammy. x
as soon as I saw my uncle in the picture (JIMMY LOWE all the memories I had of him came flooding back. I too remember the day of his funeral with all the staff stood outside paying respects as the funeral cars passed.
