The Turnkey, one of my favourite places in Wigan in the 70s and early 80s, spent some hours in there and Bluto's as well.
We used to enjoy going there until the night I found a live maggot in my salad!
My nana was the manageress there in the 60's/70's
Had our wedding reception there still got and use the rolling pin they gave .

my then boyfriend (now husband) took me to the turnkey on my 21st birthday in 1973. Unfortunately, the meal was awful and it put a spoiler on what should have been a lovely day.
