It looks a hell of a lot different now! People who are new to the area or who never saw that district in all it's glory, just won't believe what used to be there!

I was here the other week, I walked along the cut from Dover Lock. Having been very familiar with the pit and surrounding area I found it really sad and depressing.

7hrrbgremember the old swing bridge over the canal,there were no lights,i was crossing the bridge in my car,when another car started to cross in the opposite direction none of us would back up and we actualy just managed to pass on the bridge ,we had to pull our wing mirrors to do this.this is absolutly trueui7wc
