Wigan Album

It was 73/74, I was walking through the Royal Arcade.. it was on a Sunday, all the shops were closed. I was walking from Woodcock st end to Standishgate end,the Arcade was empty, or so I thought, then as I was getting up to one of those Bay windows, a man stepped into view... My heart jumped into my throat,but I just kept on walking, then he flung open his Mac to show everything he had......I couldn't tell you if what he had was worth showing or not... I didn't want him to think he
'd got the better of me, I ignored him and kept on walking..... But whenever I see pics of this Arcade, that incident is what comes to mind....My heart was beating a mile a minute then, but now when I think of it , it makes me laugh.....
