Freddy eventually moved out after the demolition workers drove a crane round Masefield House and past his windows on one of the top floors, in protest at his actions, because they were threatened with being laid off work, because of the delay in demolishing the block.

By this time the site had been fenced off for safety reasons, glass from windows smashed by vandals was falling from the building.

The day after Freddy moved out, the utility firms moved in and cut off all the services to the building , you can see two Norweb vans arriving at the site.
