Thanks a million, I was delighted to see this picture of the main entrance, for years I have been trying to get information about and pictures of the lovely building which was once the home of a wonderful school.

Does anyone out there have any more photos of Notre Dame? I really hope someone has pics of the interiors or of the Sisters (when they still wore their habits).

If you walk down Derwent Terrace (remember Derwent House and the bridge across tot he main building?)to the bottom, turn right and you'll see the old netball courts area. The steps we'd sit on to watch the matches are still there. Teh old gym in front has gone of course but the old dram soc place is still there a teh bottom - currently used by the Education Dept I think. The Quad and garden's gone. Wonder if the tunnel down to the cloakrooms still exists under Standishgate's pavements?

I set up a Notre dame High school group on FB and recently posted some photos of the Netball courts and other parts of the site as they are today. I often wondered about the underground bit. The old front wall is there on Standishgate.
