The shop was a real aladdins cave.
The gentleman on the left is a double of Barney Mckenna the tenor banjo player with the Dubliners.
I think that is Phil {sniffer] Somers on the right, his garage looks something like that.
Look at all those neat boxes on the top shelf: are they train sets? My memory going wild!!!! I had the third doll on the right. You had a brush handle up it's coat - yes!!! Though it was a big Christmas present, I never liked it!!!! It used to stare at me in my bedroom!!!! Years later, they have wrote horrror stories about the same thing. To conclude, I think I gave it to Carl, head of our gang. We used it as a head for Guy: it was burned!!!!
The bikes havn`t changed much really.Wouldn`t like to do the stocktaking there.
Just seen this. I don't remember the chopper having cast wheels
A long long time ago and it must have been just after WW2 I went into Oliver Summers with a 3 penny coin. "What can I buy with this?".....Do you know they gave me a stage knife !! the kind where the blade disappears into the handle.....so kind always rememmber that !
