Can anyone shed light on this postcard? Was it sent during or after the 1st WW?

Does,t look as though it was "sent" as theres no stamp or franking mark. Probably brought home by someone, probably as a keepsake. The reference to "pottery" is odd. Should this be Pottery Road in Wallgate rather than an area.

it was not sent & the date is early 1918. The flags of the Allies are there. it is fascinating. My husband collects postcards & I can spend hours studying them. one set are from a Frenchman whose son was serving in WW1 to friends of his in England.

Is it possible that it was bought on a visit to the area after WW1?Yes the address would be Pottery Road,as Cudworth Street ran parallel with the River Duggie.

There is a photo of Pottery Street/Road in today's Wigan
Evening Post in the Retronostalgia supplement.
French and Belgian ladies used to embroider these silk postcards and sell them to the Tommies.
