I was in the same class as Olive, along with Kathleen Tait,Eileen Beresford.Kathleen Crompton. Irene Burns, and many more. I know there were 5 Kathleen's in the class, must have been the name of the time. Kathleen Tait, Olive and myself, along with Jean Groves all came from St. John the Baptist, when Aspull first opened. We went in the 2nd year. It was a brilliant school, so upset when they pulled it down. I still think of Miss Gardener when I am cooking, never forget the teachers there. I remember a lot more names, but too numerous to mention. Is anybody out there who was in the same class. Kathleen Tait and myself are still in touch, and keep saying we will have a reunion sometime.

I new olive brown and john and norman the twins. we used to be in the same class and played together as kids , they will remember the winrow twins yes two sets in one class, john use to live next a few doors away from my sisters in Chisholm close standish , and he still sends her a card at Christmas. We are in our 72 year now but still going strong, I remember when we started work we started at the same place fourgates garments westhoughton Norman was a sewing machine Mechanic,he had a motor bike and use to pick me up at the bus stop near the scout hut some times. I never told him but I was terrified he took the corners like we were in a race. that about 54 years ago time flies. thank David for putting the photo on
