I can't resist commenting on this photo because whenever I see a picture on Wigan World of the inside of the old Market Hall, I look to see if my mum's on. She died in 1999 but before she started to get really ill, she was in the Market Hall virtually every day. It was part of her life she loved it so much. Anyway my patience has been rewarded because there she is in the distance, the lady with the short yellow coat on, perusing some stall for no doubt another bargain. Oh she was great at finding bargains and this is just how I will always remember her.
Thank you.

Hi Margaret, your mum was a lovely lady, I have lovely memories of her, I remember about 1964 she made us a corduroy drawstring bag-a bit like a duffle bag, mine was green and i thought I was really trendy. I have lots of good memories of her and your grandma who was a real character, she made the best ever bin-lid barm cakes which we had with jam on our Labour club trips to Southport, happy days.
