Nice photo. I was the Chief Overhead Line construction Inspector with B.R., working out of Prescott Street during the early 70's, busy times but most enjoyable. I think Springs Branch No 2 signalbox used to stand in the forground of this shot> I used to get in there quite often during a short period to take a line block for the construction work. Then in the 80's I returned to the Branch as a Training Instructor for all the O.H.Line staff on the West Coast working with Malcome Hitchen. Happy days long gone.

the sand in the wagons is for the glass works at platt bridge.a local tripper would have taken it there
