I've discovered that the photo wasn't taken at St Peter's but at one of the primary schools in Hindley Green. Can anyone can enlighten me as to which school it could be?

The School is St.Johns C of E Primary School Hindley Green.

The man on the right is Fred Hardman who was the Headmaster,his father also called Fred was our coalman when we lived at Hindley Green.

Thanks Andrew. Where was St John's C of E school? Being an Incer I very rarely made it past the Bird at Hindley in the 1960s. I used to head to Wigan!

Hi Bill..if your heading towards Hindley Green, its the school on the main road just past the Tesco extra shop.
If you blink, you'll miss it when driving!
