Thank you for bringing back such happy memories. I used to go to Southport from this statio every Friday until I left Wigan. I went there for my music lessons, which I loved.

Some of my earliest memories as a boy in the early 60's is going to Bradford (via Manchester) from Wallgate and the steam building up as you went through the tunnel. Brilliant.
