The engine is an English Electric Type 4, these days it called a EE class 40. The train is from London Euston to Perth. Taken c 1964/65.

Yes it is, but I don't know if it was Tupperware then? It was the old ROF factory. My mother worked there for a time during the war

What are the funnel type shapes on the roofs along the factory? I am guessing this shot today would be a little further up, perhaps towards Cemetery Bridge. I never knew 'Beggar's Walk' continued up the line as it shows here, a very old and ancient right of way...

Dave,class 40's and other main line diesels had steam generators ( boilers )fitted to steam heat the coaches in the days before electric train heating.
