One of the Smiths coaches on tour to Ilfracombe about 1975-76. I remember they used to have the depot where Halfords is at the moment at the Saddle. Don't know the driver ?

Good pic ian, the machine i think is an AEC, smiths was kings of the road at the time with over 200 coaches running up and down the country.

A great British coach. All imported these days...very sad.

It is indeed an AEC Reliance. One of eight Duple-bodied coaches delivered in April 1976.

I remember that driver in the photo but I don't remember his name. The only driver whose name I remember was called "Fernando". Most of the drivers had a little plaque up front with their name on it.
