This shows the church from the south
You're too modest Andrew! - as it was yourself who undertook the mammoth task. We originally asked folk to bring in their photographs for an exhibition which was mounted to mark the 20th anniversary of the move from the old 1887 church to the converted 1875 Infants' School in 1978. That resulted in a Millennium Album of photographs of the life of the parish (copies still available from St Mary's Vicarage, Warrington Road WN3 4NH at 2 quid, including postage!). Then Andrew undertook the mammoth task of digitising the accumulated body of photographs. My thanks to him for finding time to upload so many now. I'll try and add information....
Twas a great building. More like a cathedral than a church.
Photo took from roundabout were our Back Yard would have been .
