Teacher was Mrs Speakman I think. Miss Agnes Sherbourne (my aunt) taught the next-to-the-top class. Never got to that level, me & my sister got moved to St Peters in Hindley.
I have just realised that these three photos of Bryn Gates primary were all taken on the same day. They are three classes 8, 9, and 10 year olds. I am on the middle one so it must be summer 59 I think. The seats and the mat on the floor are in the same place.
I know most of the faces but cant remember the names.
Tony Hesketh and John Pete must be on the photo in the middle.
is that Rhoda Brett front row third from left? third from
right I think is Lorraine Hesketh.

Bottom row, 2nd & 3rd from left poss Elaine Williams? & Elsie? How could I forget Terry Ryan! Big lad next to him could be Eric.
