The blond lad 3rd from right back row played centre half for Warrington Town. Forgot his name.

I think the guys name with the blond hair may be Dobson. His first name escapes me for the moment.

Is the bloke 2nd from right on front row not Tony Worswick, and the bloke 2nd from left on front row Joe Fairhurst, who appear in the previous photos?

Yes well spotted Edgar. That is defintely Joe Fairhurst and I think the other one is Tony Worswick, as you say. Whats your surname Edgar, do I know you?

I recall some of this team. The lad Dobson was a good player and played centre forward for us. Joe Fairhurst was an attacking wing back and Tony a defensive wing back. They had a rugby background and used to foul a lot. Bob Pitt was a good player in his day. He played on the wing, had a good cross but was getting on a bit. The big lad in the middle of back row was the goalie and was pretty short sighted. When the opposition realised this they would punt the ball high over his head from distance. He'd lost the flight of the ball by that time. We won most of our matches but lost away to BICC Helsby 3 1. All their goals resulted from the goalie not seeing the ball. Can't recall names at the moment but some of the other lads were pretty decent footballers.

Your memory lets you down Joe. Joe Fairhurst played left half and was the "sweeper". His job was to stop the best players from the opposition. But he had a habit of popping up in the box and scoring. Tony played right half. You were quite correct about the rest.
