I never new there was a fountain in the park - it was a huge flower basket when I was a child. What is the building at the top right of the picture where the Grammar School/hospital is. it Looks a nice building.

The building is the previous (3rd) Wigan Grammar School Margaret - the school was later rebuilt at the same location. Now you see the (remains of the) 4th and final Grammar school - now Linacre Clinic - on the same spot.
