Great picture.
That's brought back memories, I can see Shelmerdine Street, Foy Street having long gone by this time. When I worked at Wigan Co-op they had a motor garage on Foy St and at times I used to go there, I remember a little shop at the bottom of Foy St with a very old lady serving behind the counter, it was one of those shops that sold everything, and if they didn't have it - then come back tomorrow. Great times!
Superb picture Allan!
The little house about 1 inch up, bottom left was the corner of 72,Darlington St/3,Sovereign Rd. Just over the factory roof. That's where I started my married life in October 1959....Still together 50+ years later..;o)
