Brings back many memories. I went to Bluecoat,Gig Middle and Whitley High school.Sadly all gone now but many happy memories.

dont remember the little balconies where in the scool were they?

Those balconies are on the hall windows, I recognise the doorway as the enterance into the boys school. The balcony nearest the enterance is outside the window that opened onto the stage. The other balcony is at the girls end of the school and would open out onto the wall bars at the back of the hall.

The windows on the far left of this picture, was Mr Critchley's classroom. I left in 1972. The headmaster was nicknamed CORKIE. I have good memories of my time at this school. The music teacher was nicknamed HUGGY.
