My class posing for a photograph in 1950. From the viewers right to left middle row; myself, Adrian Lace, ?...., ....Clayton. The only girl who I remember is the second from the left seated; Gail Brand. I remember her because I was deeply in love at eight years old. Miss Dunn, a wonderful caring teacher on the left in the dark suit.

I think the teacher on the right was Miss Pennington. I agree that Miss Dunn was a lovely teacher!

Remembered it was GRAHAM Clayton and I think I'm correct in saying his father had a butchers shop. Adrian Laces father owned Laces Bakery in Wigan and the girl in the second row third from the right was a member of the Rathbones Bakery family.

That is definitely me in the front row seated - Gail Brand, fourth from left is Judith Harvey and Adrian Lace is second from right second row. I was deeply in love with Adrian Lace and he was deeply in love with Judith Harvey!

Don't twist the knife Gail, Ha Ha. Adrian Lace was probably the most popular boy in the class. I optimistically counted him as my best friend though I don't think the feeling was reciprocal. One face I am surprised not to see here is Geoffrey Holland. To me the school was a green oasis of happiness during a difficult period of adjustment after my mother died.
