Thanks goes to Wigan RLFC for allowing me, as an amateur photographer, to go onto the touchline for the duration of the game to take this photo, and a few others on Feb. 23, 1986. Result: Wigan 6. Halifax 6. Stephenson kicked 3 goals.

The Police Officer in the photo is none other than P.c. 5738 Billy Fairhurst, who was based at Pemberton Police station with myself for many years.

THe 'Hen Pen' on the right of the tunnel was where we used to climb onto the top of the wall and slap the players on their backs as they came out. Boston, Ashton, McTigue, great memories
