If not mistaken this building became part of Upholland Secondary School, then went on in the 1960's to have a swimming pool installed that all the pupils funded.
not sure what the building was used for later butit still stands in the grounds of upholland secondery school.
Didn't this building house two 3rd form classes (at least in the last year of UGS's occupation)?
This building was built around 1875 when the old Oxhouse was taken over to house UpHolland Grammar School, it is the only remaining part of that school and was incorporated in to UpHolland Secondary School and called "The Annex". The swimming pool was in part of it and several classrooms, science lab, gardening room. There used to be a range of buildings adjoining it, music room, tech drawing and band room but they were demolished in 1973.
