I was a pupil during the war years. 1943 -1948 . thanks for this photograph .The photo of the art room has stayed in my memory and Miss Laine .
Strange how some places just stick in your memory - can't believe this garden area is still so familiar after almost 40 years
I agree. I'venever really thought about the grounds but just seeing this picture. I am taken back 400 odd years. I would so love to see some of the old girls agian. (and I don't mean old disrespectfully)

What a wonderful surprise I had when I saw this picture. I remember it from the early 1960s. It's wonderful to see it again. Thank you.
lovely to see the garden was just as I remembered it, I was at the prep school from 1951 we eventually moved to The Hollies, which was a beautiful old house in lovely grounds
I attended the Convent from 52 to 58 and I can't recall this view of the Convent. Where was it.
I was there from 1940 to1954.I was known as May to avoid confusion with all the other Mary's in my family. My middle name is Edith my secret name of power.sister Edith terrified me.Remember the garden. I fell over on the gravel path on my First Communion day. Typical...I must have been the most clumsy child in the school
