I was a choir boy here in 1956 or thereabouts. My parents rest here.R.I.P. Bless 'em.
my grandma and her mother , and my grandmas children buried there .ann moss r.i.p.
Confirmed here in 1962,and married here by Mr Seal in 1971.I also attended St Johns School from 1957 to 1962. I was a member of St Johns dramatic society in late 60s
Wonder why we always called this area, Pemberton? It appears that it is actually 'Lommera Green'
I was baptised here, married here, my Mother & parental Grandparents are buried here.
The second headstone from the right is my great great grandparents (William & Margaret Gaskell) and their daughter Nancy Jane Muscroft
The church was built in 1832 it was known as a Waterloo church after the battle, there was funds available and the need for another church and the distance between wigan and upholland churches was called for the cost of the build was around £7000 oo.
