Good photo I remember a lot of people on here.
My late Dad in middle with light brown suit{Tom Glover},the chap who is retiring is front middle kneeling think his name is Bert.To his right is Ken Doran my Dad's mate he took my dad to work.To Bert's left but one is Kieth Liptrot.
My dad Tom Fitzpatrick is in the middle of the second row
What year was this? About 1962?
Not sure of the year but it wasn't 60s I would say late seventy's
Jem.
Good photo know quite a few on here,so many on photo it would be difficult to position them precisely. Some that I know. The name of the man receiving the presentation I sure was Bert Holden or Holding, on the right side next to Ken Doran is Jack Entwistle plumber, also on are John McDonald joiner, Norman Peel second left front row (tinbasher).Jack Sutton welder, Frank Hamiton plumbers shop, Tommy Dicconson welder are on in various position on the photo, and of course Margaret's dad Tommy Fitzpatrick is on. I'll will perhaps name some more when the names come to me, but i would imagine Keith Andrews will name many more when he see's the photo
Jem, is that the somnambulist(sleepwalker)?
4th from front row right,fred sudworth,grenral maintainace,date about mid 1970s,great guy.
Gall your right it is Freddy Sudworth other names the two on the left in whites are Fred Glover and Ken Barker manager and foreman in genral maintenance front of them Ken Bentham Des Tarpy Jack Enty also front row Kieth Liptrot back of him just to his left is Malcolm Hull. all great guys to work with.
Others I can see very back row Charlie Herbert and Jimmy Stanton ,Middle Row Jack Wiley ,extreme right Harry Walls
On the end of the front row is my neighbour George Banks who kindly supplied us with unlabelled tins. Many is the tin of custard opened that I thought was a tin of beans due to that smudged purple ink they used to use.
Great picture, George Banks is my Grandad !!!!, anymore pics would be great, thanks
As an apprentice in the General Maint. Department I worked with Norman Peel, jack Entwistle, the mighty Ken Doran and Tommy Fitzpatrick. They were happy times for me. These guys set me off on road to working life.
My grandad, John (Jack) Wylie, middle row, third from the left. A great picture! Would be great to see more of these! We remember him speaking of most of these names.
