I remember the Park when there was flowers around the Bowling Green and bedding plants throughout the Park.I used to love going from our house in Park View and watching the bowlers on the green.I'm afraid the vandals have got control now and the Park as we now it is a memory.My great uncle Nick Barton who was park keeper must be turning in his grave.

I remember Peter Lowe from Kingsdown Rd being one of the park keepers in the 50's & 60's. As you say it is nowhere near as well kept now as then. I remember being told off for riding my bike in the park !

some git shot me in the leg in that park 1958 but i loveed playing in it good memoryes
