Were Mr and Mrs Green and Mr and Mrs Farrimond all teachers?
Derek Farrimond was in my class at Wigan Grammar school but I believe that he died a few years ago.

Front row 3rd person is Miss Grass 7th is Mrs Farimond and 8th Mr Green

Following on from yesterdays comment there was also a teacher called Miss Meadows who isn't in the photo.

The photo was taken at a Youth hostel near Keswick were we stayed for s week (Derwent water),it was the very first outing from Marsh Green school. The lady in the front row 3rd Left is Mrs Green the wife of Mr Green one of the teacher's

The Girl on the back row third from right is possibly Evlyn Clark

Just to clear up the confusion about the teachers, There were only two teachers on this trip Mrs Farrimond and Mr Green both sitting together on the right of the photo, the other two adults were there respective husband and wife.
There was no Miss Grass or Miss Meadows on this trip.
Also this was the first ever school trip from Marsh Green Primary school.

Thanks for the info Kathy, The trip took place in the summer of 61, at the end of our last year at Marsh Green school, great times.

i was in the first intake,mr green was my teacher,we moved up marsh green,when there was farms,fields,were children enjoyed their chiilhood.Only eight in our form

half a dozen of them went to st marks school secondary iknow podge and hitchen used to mate with them when we went playing at marsh green happy days

It was great, it was the first time any off us had been on a school trip.
I even have the photo where we stood in front of the old fashioned coach before we left for the trip
