I still cannot understand why "yobs" deface old buildings with graffiti. It does my head in.

Seems like there are folk on here who condone it. Grrrrrr.

Not sure where this is, when you say Billinge Hill do you mean Ashurst Beacon ? If so I am shocked...where has the pinnacle gone ??

Do ever think what your council tax spent on...knocking down buildings have have only stood a few years & letting heritage fall to bits ?? When's your next Council election?

Helen this is Billinge Hill in Billinge not Ashurst Beacon. The Beacon is still there although like most old monuments around the UK, people tend to deface them for no apparent reason.

This is a cracking photo of my Grandad Tommy, I don't know how he made it all the way up there on his bike at eighty, I know one thing, I wouldn't be able to do it. I am very proud of him, to me he is a legend, long live Grandad!!!!!!!
