oh miss Eddlestone she was horrible
My mum, Brenda Pearson, told me a few tales about Miss Eddlestone.
The gym teacher's name was Mrs Oddie, (my mum). I was born two years after the photo was taken and went on to teach at Rose Bridge myself for nearly 30 years. I taught with my mum for a few years. Sadly she passed away in 1995.
I lived next door but one to Nancy McNight she was a twin and her twin Frank was a plumber i served some of my apprenticeship with Frank, i'll always remember Frank with great fondness especially him taking me to jobs in his bubble car it was like sitting in a goldfish bowl, but i loved working with him he later went on to teach but sadly he is no longer with us.

does anyone know what happened to Margaret Holcroft I used to go out with her From the middle of 1952 to 1954 when I had to go in the army she was not at school then so i think that picture is 1951 she worked at Lostock cotton mill she finished with me by sending me a dear john letter i was bound for Malaya I am happily married now though poor me I don't want to meet her I'd just like to know what happened to her is she still living or what she used to live in Battersby st at the top of Belle Green Lane is it the same one I think it is
For some unfathomable reason in my last comment I said my mum passed away in 1995, it was in fact 1994.
Mr James ( Placid ) Dunne as I type this my mum Margaret Holcroft is sat at the side of me she isn't a silver surfer so i've shown her your comments She say to say how nice to hear from you. She sadly was widowed at forty but now has a very nice partner of ten years and two very beautiful daughters ( I wrote that myself Heehee ) She's in good health and hoping you are too Take care !
